How to create electricity from water as shown in movie – Swadesh?

I want to know technical details of creating electricity from water as shown in movie – Swadesh (Directed by Mr. Ashutosh Gorikar and Acted by Mr. Shaharukh Khan). I like to know details regarding all equipment , horse power of eqipment , Price of the all equiments;all technical details about equipement and how these equiment work.
I want to know that from how much liter of water, how much amount of electricity will create?
