An upper class home in the united states or possibly europe.
Wood frame? Brick walls? Would marble floors have been a likely option? What kind of metal would have been used for plumbing? Electricity? Heating? Would the home be insulated if it was in an area with cold winters, if yes, with what?

I’m mostly interested in the construction materials that were available and what was commonly used but general information on this type of home is welcome as well.

Including air condition duct work, door, window, electricity, block work & painting.

I just thought of this and was wondering if it can be done. I have a magnet that is the size of a small cell phone and its the strongest iv ever had and seen. Its stronger then the big ones in speakers lol. But i was wondering if i added electricity to it what could happen. But what would it take to make a EMP thing that would fry every thing in my room? Like in a normal size room in a normal size house.

I want to know what it takes too build a EMP thing to fry all electronics as soon as i turn it on lol? Sounds about like a EMP bomb but im not talking about anything that big lol. Something i can hook some battery’s up to and all my electronics fry lol. (not like im really going to do that lol)

I’m starting college this coming fall and my mom is thinking about renting the house out to me and some of my friends. I’m just wondering what you think the average monthly rate for rent, phone, cable/internet, heating, electricity, food, clothes, entertainment, and other (house supplies and what not) would be. I don’t know what an air conditioner would go under but we would need that in there too. (They are the kinda you put in the windows.)

I am building a home-made wind turbine generator with lots of tools, money and materials. I need to know how to calculate the number of copper coils, i.e. coil number, windings, size of windings, etc., to generate 1200 Kw of electricity. What size of copper wire? Size of magnets? How many? I am really interested on the mathematics of the wind turbine construction.

Right now, I can only afford 0/month.

I wouldn’t even mind if someone had a mobile home that I could rent. (It would need to be hooked up with electricity and running water of course.) I would prefer it within a 10 mile radius of Woodland Hills in the San Fernando Valley, CA

I am ending a 10+ year relationship in which I was a homemaker/housewife but things have been getting ugly emotionally not physically, with control issues and what not.

I just got a full time job in the entertainment industry and need to move out with my dog and cat. I know my pets make it harder but they are my comfort right now. They are both indoor pets. My dog is a miniature poodle so he doesn’t shed and the cat is his buddy, they actually do play with each other.

Any suggestions would be helpful…

I am a private, quiet, basically very shy person and mostly keep to myself. In the evenings I enjoy reading or watching TV… things such as ER, CSI, etc along those themes.

A description of how the generator generates electricity would be nice, i DONT need to know how the whole thing works, all i want is specific info on the ‘Generator’

i live in san diago and have a 1000 sq. foot apartment and im home 2/3 of the week (1/3 of the time is at school)

Are there certain hotels that have electricity 24 hrs? Do most have it available for only a few hours per day? Can anyone clarify the electricity situation on the island for me and possibly recommend some reasonably priced hotels ( and under) that have 24 hr electricity?

It works fine, but I’ve heard that newer units spend much less electricity and cool better.

First, background. My family does a lot of outdoor decorating for haloween and christmas, a lot. We are trying to determine if it would be more financially responsible to buy a generator to run these lights then normal electricity. We run them for about 4-5 hours a night.

Also, what are the basics for actually buying a generator. Any recommended name brands? Certain specs i should pay special attention to? Any help would be appreciated.

Gasoline, diesel,propane, electricity all has gone up and is predicted to keep rising.

I am hoping to move out on my own for the first time and I really don’t know what to expect. I am going to be moving to the San Diego area and I am planning on paying for electricity, cable, water etc. What is a good estimate for these? I know it is hard to estimate because it depends on how much you use them but I am trying to figure out a budget.

If we run the generator motor on the electricity produced by themselves, would it not conserve fuel?
