We recently had a Brink’s home alram system installed and at the same time we noticed that our Electricity bill sky rocketed. I called them to see if the alarm runs on our electricity and it does. However, could this alone be enough to cause such an increase. We haven’t changed our electricity consumption much at all and this is the only addition we’ve made to our home.

My electricity bill seems to have increased steadily over the last two years. That coincides with our family finally getting into the "modern age’. Cell phones 2 1/2 years, home computer 15 months, add work laptop 1 year. Would this really affect our bill? It is not just the price increase. I actually check the Kwh used.

My electricity bill was at an outrageous price when i checked it today. I play my guitar for hours a day and I was wondering if thats one of the reasons for the price.

I live in Texas and my electricity bill is going through the roof. I need to find a lower price energy company to sign up if at all possible.
Please help me. A Texan in need.

Hi I am looking to buy a vieled chameleon soon, and i currently have a bearded dragon.
1. I have a 24" UVA/B bulb and 2 100watt heat lamps that will be running for the two lizards, can anyone tell me how much that would affect my family’s electricity bill because my dad won’t stop complaining about the cost of electricity.
2. I want to get my vieled chameleon at a reptile expo, does anyone know of one closer to Atlantic city than the one in harve de grace MD? also, does anyone know how much a baby vieled would cost at a reptile expo???

Air conditioning, cable, and high-speed internet are all included in the rent. The rent would probably be around 5-5 per month. What price range would you assume the electricity bill would be?

here in the town i live in we recently had an avalanche take out power transmission lines from our hydro dam… in the time it takes them to repair those 90% of our power is coming from diesel generators…(you should have cringed there) causing the price per kWh to go up 500% for what might be the next 3 months.

currently i make enough that i can live with a bill 5 times higher than im used to, but a couple of years ago that would have got me kicked out of my apartment because there was no way in hell i could find an extra 300 bucks a month with a week or two notice.

its been a big deal here, but we are notorious complainers, so im wondering if that situation would cause you to write letters to editors and complain to everyone who will listen all day long?
and i didn’t even mention the buisness owners whos electricity bill will go up thousands per month.

my work place alone might possibly spend an extra ,000.00 in the three months(we need lots of electricity)

Hey. I am tired of paying the electricity bill and got fined for taking my neighbours from his pond. Turned out he never watched tv or had a computer. When his bill went from £10 a month to £150 he got suspicious and found the cable and adaptor that I had connected to his fish pond in the back garden. Anyway thats another story. I did bury the cable but obviously he unearthed it.

I know some people use solar plates to provide electricity for their home, but this costs too much. I don’t have £25.000 to spare for this stuff. Also it is a rented place so I don’t even own the roof.

I was thinking of a nuclear generator that I can build at home and use to power my electricity usage off uranium or something. I am really good with building gadgets, and know where I can get weapons grade uranium from cheap. I just need advice or a walkthrough on how to build a mini nuclear power plant in my own kitchen.

I share the same room as a family member and he constantly turns the air conditioner on the highest power (1-8 1 the lowest). I always turn it down to 1 because i’m scared the electricity bill will go crazy. But i get hot too because of the temperature right now. Does the power or the air conditioner affect me electricity bill?

ALSO, I WANT TO ASK THIS QUESTION FOR FANS. does putting my fan at the highest speed/level affect my electricity bill too?

If anyone has lived or lives in San Francisco and could tell me what the average monthly price of your water/electricity bill is, that would be great. I need to know this for a project.
