Can Atmospheric Water Generators help with the drought in Ca.?
These machines can produce up to 3,000 a gallon a day. And if you were to place them close to the shore line, with hundreds of these machine you could produce millions of gallons a day of fresh clean water. Anybody willing to invest can be very well off with in the first year. What do you think?
Along with running these machines they can be hooked to solar or wind generators for renewable energy.
And really there are parts of Ca. that is in a sever drought. Farmers are loosing million because the rain is just not coming.
I am a refrigeration technician, and know water can be pulled from the air even in desert situations. And know even in dry weather with low humidity, you still can produce a fair amount of water, and when the situation with high humidity is accruing like close to any shore line there would be unlimited amount of water in the air. This is a green situation, and will produce millions of jobs. And someday soon when food at the grocery store becomes scarce, because farmers can’t plant their crops because of lack of water, than this will be a viabel choice
Well let see.. if we eliminate every hot water tank in the country, get rid of every toilet that uses 5 gal. a flush, get rid of every washing machine that uses 11 gal. per fill up,every dishwasher that uses 12-20 gal per cycle. eliminate every golf course, every car wash, make it illegal to water you front lawn, every swimming pool, and the list goes on… What would the american people would give up to conserve water?
Duke Energy COO says we can ‘decarbonize’ without painful electricity price hikes – what do you think?
Jim Turner, chief operating officer of Duke Energy Corp, explains the utility’s view:
"Undeniably, enhanced renewable energy and energy conservation are laudable objectives and should be part of a comprehensive solution to climate change. But our ultimate objective must be to transition to a lower carbon economy in a manner that inflicts the least economic pain on America’s consumers and businesses.
Electricity can be the low-cost and reliable engine that transports us into a prosperous and “decarbonized” future…"
"Technology and American ingenuity will allow for the development of lower carbon technologies that propel our economy forward. Cap and trade along the lines proposed by the Waxman-Markey bill can be the catalyst for that to happen."
