Where can I find the internal circuit diagram for a 3-terminal voltage regullator used with 12Volt generators

I need to adjust the voltage on a 1958 Mercedes that uses a generator. I need to know the internal and external wiring of the charging system.

All it is is coils in there with points in there someplace. If you take an old one apart you can figure out what it does. I tried looking through some old manuals, but I found nothing. You may want to try:
